Cara Naturally aka Buttasofli
Cara has over 10 years experience in working within the spoken word community. As an activist and spoken word artist she's worked on numerous projects. In additon to being a part of the Powerlines Poets, she was a founding member of Mobile's Africatown Poets as well as being one half of the Aquemini Poets. She's been featured in venues throughout Alabama to include Huntsville and Birmingham, as well as Selma where she helped to teach a children's poetry workshop. In addition to touring with the Powerlines Poets, she's also been a featured artist New Orleans' poetry showcase Sex vs. Love. As an Africatown poet Buttasofli was able to open for world renowned poet/activist Nikki Giovanni.
